Make your last stride as quick as your first and leave your opponent in the dust with the new Bauer Vapor X700 Junior Ice Hockey Skate. New for 2017, the Bauer Vapor X700 skate builds upon the concepts that made the 2015 Vapor line one of the top models of skates on the market, with new improvements for unmatched speed and quickness.
The Bauer Vapor X700 Junior Ice Hockey Skate will be constructed with Bauer’s Fiber Composite+ for a much stiffer boot than previous mid-level skates. The heel will have Bauer’s X-rib pattern to further the stiffness in the heel of the skate. The lightweight ankle padding provides greater comfort when your foot is in the boot, and will also feature heat moldable materials to provide a better feel.
Bauer’s Hydra Max liner has been featured in many top of the line skates, and will line the inside of the Vapor X700. Its moisture wicking properties and locking properties keep the skaters foot dry and stable in the skate. The Form Fit tongue is a three piece felt tongue that will also feature high density padding down the middle. These foams will provide greater impact protection as well as help prevent lace bite. The Lock Fit footbed contains grip in the heel to lock the skater’s foot in place throughout the game.
Between the boot and the holder, the Vapor X700 will have a Pro TPU outsole. This stiff outsole increases the energy transferred from the boot during play, maximizing every stride. Connected to the outsole will be Bauers Lightspeed Edge holder. This revolutionary holder uses a trigger system to make swapping out damaged or broken steel quick and easy. The holder will also sit three milometers higher than older model Tuuk holders. By raising and narrowing the holder, skaters can get lower into turns without bottoming out. Each pair will also come standard with LS1 stainless steel runners.
