Brand new for 2021 Bauer is introducing the Bauer Sling Hockey Stick which is an evolution of their very popular ADV stick line. With new blade geometry, a new blade core, and upgraded blade hole, the Bauer Sling Intermediate Hockey stick will take your shot to the next level.
Starting with the geometry of the Bauer Sling Hockey Stick, Bauer is using ER SPINETECH technology, which is a 5-sided shaft geometry that allows for less carbon fiber layers in the key loading area of the stick. This will benefit the stick in numerous ways. First it moves the balance point 5% higher which will provide an improved feel in your hands. The 5-sided shape also provides a unique feel which helps to contour to the players hands for maximized feel and control. It also creates a faster energy transfer to the blade allowing for the puck to “slingshot” off the blade faster. Coming in at 375 grams, the Sling Stick will be a super comfortable and lightweight stick.
Combining the new shaft technology with the optimized mid-kick flex profile, the Bauer Sling Stick will allow players to lean into, and load up their shots, much easier than ever before. This flex profile will give it that optimized slingshot effect and will release the puck 10% faster and with much less effort.
Moving to the construction of the Bauer Sling Hockey Stick, the entire shaft utilizes Bauer’s ACL (Advanced Carbon Layering) Technology throughout. Inspired by the Vapor ADV, ACL technology is a design that uses strategically placed fibers within the shaft, resulting in more durable and lightweight stick.
Continuing down to the most improved area of the stick, the Bauer Sling Hockey stick has a new blade hole, new blade geometry, and a new blade core. You’ll have more control over the puck with a bigger “sweet spot” on the blade and more stability in the toe. The blade has been upgraded to be 15% more durable and give you a bigger blade “pop”. In addition to that, a reinforced top edge and thinner bottom edge will provide more “sling” in your shot. Rounding out the upgrades in the blade is an improved blade hole that helps to provide increased stiffness, stability, and forgiveness, helping you to have the biggest “sweet spot” possible.
